It didn't take long for the stories to become a complete success, however, due to the current moment of World War II, the scriptwriters needed to reinvent themselves if they wanted to keep their audience.

However, the following years were not easy, as with the end of World War II, the public lost interest in hero stories and the publisher needed to invest in new genres, such as police stories, horror and even romance.

In 1950, Martin Goodman purchased the Atlas Comics, its own magazine distributor, and even tried to bring back its old heroes, but without success.

It was only in 1961, due to the success of superhero comics from DC Comics, direct competitor at the time, Atlas, finally renamed as Marvel Comics, decided to try, once again, to launch his superhero stories, this time with more humanized characters closer to reality. With the creation of Fantastic Four, Hulk, Thor, Spider man, Iron Man and many others, Stan Lee brought Marvel back into the spotlight.

In 1972, before retiring, Martin Goodman chose Stan Lee to be his successor, giving him the position of editor-in-chief and president of Marvel Comics.

As of 1990, the company decided to tread new paths and expanded into the universe of cinema. Initially called Marvel Movies, the company began its work in this industry by licensing its own intellectual property to other companies that created great successes such as Blade (1998) from New Line Cinema and Spider-Man (2002) from Sony Pictures.

The first film to be produced independently by Marvel Studios it was the Iron Man, released in 2008. One of the curiosities about this universe, which has become a tradition among fans, are the famous post-credits scenes. These scenes usually preview an studio event or film. The films were also marked by Stan Lee's appearance in random scenes, where he had one or two lines, and interaction with the characters.
