O SinPatinhas is National Domestic Animal Registry System, an initiative of the Brazilian government — developed in partnership with the Federal Council of Veterinary Medicine (CFMV) — focused on ing dogs and cats from all over Brazil.
The idea is that all people who own a dog or cat their pets so that, at the end of the registration, the pet will receive its own ID with the owner's information. If the animal is microchipped, this information can also be included in the document to make it easier to the owner.

- Education for responsible ownership and animal rights;
- Animal health and zoonosis control.
Launched during the second week of April 2025, the platform was launched on the same day as the SinPatinhas. Anyone interested can create an ID for the cat or dog they have at home. The entire process takes about ten minutes to complete.

Step 01: access the SinPatinhas official website, via direct link or by searching for “SinPatinhas” on Google;
If you have chosen to search in Google, click on the first result:
Step 02: you will need to with your gov.br . Therefore, click on the button with gov.br;

Step 10: when you have finished filling in the data, click on Save. Once this is done, confirm the personal information once again by pressing the button Yes;
Step 11: So, now it's time to fill in your pet's details. Enter the name, date of birth, species, fur color, indicate whether the pet is neutered or not, its place of birth (and date) and also indicate whether it has a microchip (if it does, indicate the number in this section);
When you have finished filling in the data, click on Advance.
Step 12: Now, it's time to send a photo of your pet to finalize the registration. Just click on Select the file and that special photo of your pet. Once you the photo, click Advance;
Step 13. you can crop the photo to fit the document. When you're done, click Advance;
Step 14: a screen with the data sent will be displayed and, if everything is correct, you can click on Yes;
Step 15: now, just confirm the issuance of the ID in the system SinPatinhas.
Then you will be able to see the document in system tutors page SinPatinhas. All the animals you own are saved there, and you can even report a death or change of owner if he/she moves to another home. See this example in the image below:
