The sixth film panic franchise arrives Thursday (09) in theaters and has already shown a bolder proposal than the previous ones. Check out this review as spoilers and find out if it's worth going to the movies! 5y3j5x
The Scream franchise debuted in 1996 and was quite successful due to its explicit violence and the emblematic masked killer, ghostface, becoming a classic of the horror subgenre slasher from the late 90s and early 2000s. The films took a long break between 2000 and 2011 and returned almost 10 years later, in 2022, with a new plot and new victims.
Who is Ghostface? 3i6t25
Before we get into the details of the film, it's worth recapping a few things and diving a little deeper into the history of the franchise.

The iconic white mask killer emerged in 1996, carrying out a series of murders in the fictional town of Woodsboro. Among a lot of bloodshed, at the end of the film we discover his true identity and the villain ends up dying. But to the surprise of many, he always finds a way to return.
Unlike villains like Jason and Michael Myers, Ghostface does not have a fixed identity, he is an entity that can be assumed by anyone who agrees with his twisted ideals of justice and sees him as a heroic and macabre figure. In each film, a new individual dons his mask and goes out killing and the objective of his victims and the spectator is, literally, to unmask the killer.

After the horrifying events of Scream 5, the sisters and survivors Sam (Melissa Barrera) and Tara (Jenna Ortega), restart their lives in the trendy city of New York, in an attempt to get rid of the traumas of the past.

Tara is attending college and looking to be a normal young woman, while her older sister, Sam, still has trust issues and unresolved phobias. Despite everything, things seem normal in the duo's lives until new attacks begin to happen, Ghostface returns to haunt them and seems determined not to let them escape this time.
brutal plot 4b156e
The production of Scream 6 seems very determined to bring a terror with a much more violent footprint than the previous ones. Everything is prone to it, the environment, the characters and even the killer's behavior and ambition.
There isn't even time to properly digest the first scenes before the killing starts, it's all extremely graphic, the scenes, the descriptions, the dialogues, I suggest you prepare well if you have a weak stomach. Even those who enjoy the genre a lot can feel their stomach wrap.

Regarding this aspect, the level of discomfort that the scenes of violence bring made me feel the same discomfort and disgust that I felt watching The Suicide SquadOf 2021.
The film also brings a greater footprint of suspense and psychological terror, an interesting move to escape the obvious subgenre. slasher, which basically consists of chasing and attacking. At various times, Scream 6 puts us in an almost suffocating situation of tension, as if we were being chased across the screen.
a pinch of humor 6vk40
Like every franchise, the film brings a dash of humor and satire to horror clichés while diving deep into them, without losing the dynamism of the story and without taking the seriousness of the situation. The characters are not common victims, they are intelligent, or at least they try to be.
Another highlight that was masterfully maintained in this film is the ability to create an environment of distrust and investigation. Who is to blame and who are the good guys? These are questions that echo in my head incessantly. There is no obvious counterpoint between good and evil, what exists is the immediate need to survive or not be unmasked.
Twists and Clichés 525b1i
Better with them, worse without them, Scream 6 is a film full of clichés and classic horror scenes: the killer instigates the victim over the phone, the victim opens doors that could remain closed, the hiding places are terrible and, of course, nobody calls the police. Clichés tend to make us angry, but in this film, for some reason, they fit perfectly, perhaps because the movie itself doesn't take itself too seriously.

The twists happen a lot, they are not exactly the strong point of the film, but they surprise a lot, especially when we approach the end of the story.
Conclusion a5r1x
Scream 6 certainly deserves all the positive reviews it's been getting, it's quite a merit that such a classic horror franchise manages to find such creative ways to keep the story standing and interesting for new and old audiences.
Because it is a slasher, one cannot expect a mega-elaborate and exquisite script, but the weak story is compensated by the very well-crafted dynamics between suspense, terror, investigation and, for the most fanatical, nostalgia.

It's an exciting, agonizing and disgusting experience, but it's really worth experiencing inside a movie theater, I highly recommend it!

Horrible movie, unfortunately they can't make another decent horror movie!
tell me what is the possibility of a person taking a huge stab in the back and another in the stomach and still acting as if it hadn't happened because that's what the ending delivered, not to mention the police officer and the guy who got out on the stretcher who took two hundred stab wounds, who SHIT, trash film, WASTED time
