Data on the LGBTQIA+ community 1k4fl
This number represents 9,3% of the country's total population, based on the 167 million citizens who are 16 years of age or older, according to an estimate made by the PNAD. In addition to collecting information about people's sexuality, the survey also addressed several other topics that are related to the subject.

For example, younger people are the most likely to identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. people between 16 and 24 years of age make up 18% of the LGBTQIA+ population Brazilian. At another time, it was identified that 1 in 4 people who are not in the community believe that LGBTQIA+ people should not have the same rights as heterosexual people — data taken from 25% of the population that is not part of the LGBTQIA+ community that was interviewed.
The taboo about gender identity or sexuality still happens in work environments. 62% of people considered economically active sometimes, rarely or never talk about their gender identity or sexual orientation at work. The reasons range from being treated or not being treated in the same way as other colleagues, having more access to opportunities for growth at work, experiencing negative comments because of their condition, among others.

Even in job interviews, 70% of LGBTQIA+ people feel that are not being evaluated only your qualifications, a number that represents 7 out of 10 people. And another area that is directly affected is the family. The prejudice or hostility that people from the LGBTQIA+ community suffer with their respective family , revolves around at least 16% of them, when compared to the rest of the population.
And the main reason why the person identifies as LGBTQIA+, the love or affection felt for the next, was also a topic addressed. Here 3 out of 5 people who are not LGBTQIA+ — more than half — do not think that there is a common display of affection between same-sex couples. Only 34% of these agree with the attitude.
